Secret Chopsticks brings fine dining Chinese to Turnberry Tower in Rosslyn

When it opens Nov. 17, the curiously named Secret Chopsticks will have among its clientele some pretty discerning customers: the residents of the condominiums above it, the luxury Turnberry Tower in Rosslyn.

The Turnberry, despite its high-end amenities and penthouse that was named one of the country’s “most impressive” in 2014, has not had a restaurant in its ground-floor space since it opened in 2009. Secret Chopsticks, from chef Robin Li and general manager Malia Milstead, will combine a more casual lounge with a white-tablecloth, high-end Chinese restaurant at 1850 Fort Myer Drive. In the dining room, dinner will be a choice between four different tasting menus — vegetarian, tofu, dim sum and........

This will be a new concept Chinese restaurant embodying the ethic of “Contemporary Chinese Cuisine served in the Western Style.” Renowned Chinese dishes will be transformed with a contemporary touch and served in the atmosphere of an upscale full service restaurant.
The menu will focus upon a varied sampling of “small plates,” both hot and cold, followed by a choice of soups, entrees and desserts, each dish presented in an aesthetically pleasing individual portion.
There is also prix fixe tasting dinner option, as well as executive lunch menu allowing business people to complete their meal within the standard lunch-hour, but without sacrificing the overall dining quality.
Secret Chopsticks will also include a full bar, a comprehensive beer and wine list created and overseen by General Manager/Beverage Director -  Malia Milstead and a relaxing afternoon tea menu.
